About Ava

Dr. Ava Zack, DAcHM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., CMTPT has been practicing acupuncture since beginning her formal training in 2009. She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and her Doctorate of Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California.

Dr. Zack is licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and nationally certified through the NCCAOM. She is also a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist through MyoPain Seminars and is completing advanced certification in Neuropuncture, a neuroscience-based approach to electroacupuncture and neuromodulation.

Her clinical work is grounded in an integrative, evidence-informed model that bridges classical East Asian medicine with modern neurophysiology. She has a particular interest in nervous system regulation, chronic and complex pain conditions, metabolic health, and injury recovery.

Treatments are individualized and may include acupuncture, electroacupuncture, myofascial techniques, cupping, tuina (medical massage), breathing and movement practices, heat therapies, and herbal medicine when appropriate. Dr. Zack also offers medical microneedling, therapeutic light therapies, and clinical-grade topical applications to support skin health, hair thinning, and cosmetic concerns.

Dr. Zack is dedicated to providing thoughtful, conservative, and results-oriented care. Her goal is to help patients navigate physical, emotional, and life transitions with clarity, efficiency, and lasting benefit—while working collaboratively with other healthcare providers whenever appropriate.
